Trip to Rotoroa Island

Hello Blog World,

Yesterday Scott Class and Killen Class went to the trip at Rotoroa Island. It was so much fun, so first we all had to be there by 7:00 and the bus leaves at 7:15. So after that time on the bus it was time to go on the ferry woo hoo. As we got on the ferry we had a very shocked face because some of us haven't been on a ferry, As we got to the island we started to do some activities.

My writing is based on the part I loved the most.

ROTOROA ISLAND

Wow, it was a beautiful day of the trip to Rotoroa Island. My favorite part of Rotoroa was playing and working together with my group on the G.P.S, also if you don’t know what G. P. S stands for it stands for Global Positioning System. So first what we had to do first was put our bags in our lockers and go inside and sit down. We listen to the instructor and after he talked about the G. P. S, one of our group members were given a G. P. S.

So after we were given our G.P.S we went outside to play with it. So our activity was about getting a card that has footprints that are hanging on the trees around us by using the G.P.S. So we had a play with it our number was ED 7 so we had to follow the black line to find the ED 7. It was so much fun because we got to play with it and also we could find it easily.

After all that much fun it was time for our next activity, our next activity was to use our GPS again and us binoculars and a clipboard to find the type of bird and what color band is on the leg. So our number was BB 6 also on the clipboard it gave us a clue to work it out it said if it was high or low or in  the bushes. After when it was time for the activity to be finished so we all went back to the ferry and then on the bus.

Hi Blog World,

So for the past few weeks Scott Class has been creating imovie to video our advertisement, for everyone ou there who doesn't know what an advertisement is or what it means, it means ads like how ads come on TV. So for our advertisement we had to be in a group to work on the advertisement, so Scott Class had to come up with an idea for their ads to be healthy. For our group we did apples the reason why we did apples was because it is healthy for us to eat but we don't want to eat the apples that are rotten.

Rippa Rugby Zone Competition

Hello Blog World,

Yesterday Hay Park School went to the Rippa Rugby Zone competition, when we got there we took off our shoes and practicing to pass to each other. At 10:40 the girls had their game we were versing Mt Roskill Primary School, so at that game I was captain for the game so first before we start the game the captains from each school come up and need to be answer a question. There was a ball in the middle of us and the referee said what does that say on the ball and I said Auckland Rugby 2016 and I got it correct so I said that I will tap that means I will have the ball. So we started off with a tap and pass then I had the ball and I ran as fast as I could then we scored a try, then we won our first game the score was 5 nil. We had our second game against May Rd hard luck we had a tie between us but still we did a great job also it was 5 all. After that we had a 20 min break after our break it was time for our third game we were versing Mt Roskill we won that game again the score was 5-3. Finally it was time for our last game we were versing May Rd after the game we had a another tie again so the referee said we should have another 10 mins game so we had another game but guess what we won the game by one try we were so happy because I score our try and my parents were so happy.

Learning Conversation

Kia Ora Blog World,

Yesterday lot's of kids went to their learning conversations. You must be wondering what is a learning conversation, a learning conversation when you come with your parents and you talk about your learning. My teacher Mrs Archer had a learning conversation with my mum but hard luck I didn't make it because I had rippa rugby practice. So it was good to see other people talking about their learning with their parents, it make me happy that our parents are happy about your learning. I love going to learning conversation.

Dancing with Emilly

Hello Blog World,

Today Scott Class went to the hall to do Dance with Emily. We started off first with a warm up dance when the music plays and we dance then Emily says do a star shape we do that then she tells us to do a animal then we start to dance like for example she says monkey then we dance like a monkey. After that we we were spilted into 2 groups one group sit on the floor and the other group stand, the game goes like this the other group try and see what shape and pattern that they are doing after we guess that other group go up and try. It was really fun dancing with Emily.

The Ned Show

Hello Blog World,Today Hay Park School went to the hall to watch the amazing show called The NED show. The NED show is a show where they mostly use yo yo and there is a boy called NED. So today Channing talked about how NED was acting and where he went, so the fun bit was when Channing was telling the story she had a yo yo in her hand and she said some words in the story and she made it out of the yo yo how cool is that. After that she had letters the were spelt NED, NED stands for (N) Never giving up (E) Encourage others and (D) Do your best.

Dancing with Emily

Hello Blog World,

Today Scott Class went to the hall to do dancing with the wonderful Emily. Emily is a amazing dancer she is our coach she came from the Tri Star gym.  We first started off with a warm up game called follow the leader. The game goes like this there are three lines and the song plays then our leader does a movement then Emily shakes the tambourine, the tambourine means that it is time for another leader. It was so much fun.

Today Scott Class were learning to choreography a dance. We first started off with a short dance with Emily it was called hokey pokey it was so fun. We lined up in a straight to get ready for our next dance, before we lined up she taught us the moves that we needed to do they are walking forward, walking backwards, skipping, hoping , jumping and some others. We were in groups of three to make up our own dance by using our first letter of our name so me Osana and Alaskah were in the same groups we worked together to make up a dance, it was time to perform so me and my group when up to the stage and did our dance it was fun. I found it a little tricky because by learning other peoples choreography but I think I will be better.

Week 7 Gymnastics

Hello Blog World,

Today Scott Class went to gymnastics to the hall, also today's focus was swing. First of all we had a game of stuck in the mud it was really cool. The taggers were Nikheel, Hulita, George and Emah, my favorite part was when Nikheel and George and Emah were trying to catch me but they missed it was fun. I learnt how to swing the hula hoop back to me and catch it with my legs. Also it was cool when there was a big blue block and a beat board then you jump also there was 2 option 1 was do the super man jump and 2 it the roll. It was fun doing gymnastics.

Week & Super Sentences

Today in Scott Class we have been working on our writing called super sentences. Our writing is about writing sentences that make sense. We had seven different ways to make our super sentences better.  It was really fun using those ways to make my sentence better. These are the ways to make it better.

Week 7 Explain Everything

Today Scott Class has been doing maths, today I was doing one of my activity Explain Everything. Explain Everything is a app that you explain in, also I used explain everything to solve out a maths problem. I learnt lots of ways to solve out some problems. Week 7 Tears of the Albtaross

Today in Scott Class we have been doing our task in reading. Today Scott Class has been doing their create task. Our create task was about the tears of the Albatross and make up an ending for the book. So me and my friends has been using clip champ for our ending for our story. Week 7 Blog Comment

Today in Scott Class, Scott Class has been making a tutorial of how to blog comment on someone's blog. We made each tutorial how to comment on someone's blog. We made it because on Tuesday the 14th we are having a workshop of how we comment on a blog. It will be fun because the parents will be having some biscuits and a cuppa of tea and coffee.

Week 6 Gymnastics

Hello Blog World,

Today Scott Class went to Gymnastics, our focus for today was Manipulation skills. Manipulation means an object you move with like, hula hoop, ribbon and under arm throws and other sorts of things. At Gymnastics we played a game called music statue, so all you need is yourself so someone plays a music you dance or do something else then when the music stops you freeze like a statue so that is how you play music statue.

Week 6 Siva Afi

Hello Blog World,

Today Scott Class has been Writing about Siva Afi. You must be wondering what is Siva Afi, well Siva Afi is a dance that is in Samoan. We have been writing this because it was Samoan Language Week.
We have been reading Siva Afi also Siva Afi is a interesting. What I have learned about Siva Afi that you mostly use a weapon called a Nifo Oti. Also I learned that the Nifo Oti is heavy and dangerous.

Week 5 Gymnastics

In Scott Class we went Gymnastics, we had another session of gymnastics. Our focus last week was Rotation and today's focus is spring. What we learnt at gymnastics was spring, you must be wondering what is spring. Well you must be wondering it is the weather spring but it is not, spring means jumping. I learnt to do the half turn jump, full turn jump, bunny hop straddle and many more.

Week 5 Hockey

Hello Blog World,

In Scott Class we went to hockey, We were learning to have bent knees straight back. I was really excited to go hockey so I can go play some games. Well when we got there at the turf we started to play a game of hockey. I was surprise when Mr Bryan said " guys it is girls vs boys", and I was so excited to beat the boys. Waiting waiting, waiting for our first goal it took us like FOREVER to beat the boys. Well it was so much fun playing hockey. Maybe next time the girls will be better and beat the boys.

Week 4 Gymnastics

Hi Blog World,

Today Scott Class went to Gymnastics and our focus for today was rotation. first when we got there we did some stretches like the L shape. After that we played a warm up game of  " all of you are it". That was really fun game to warm us up, then Kane told us to go to that circuit then after that we change groups. What I learned was rotating and doing cart wheel.
